Learning Support Programs at Belrose Public School

At Belrose Public School, we believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and our Learning and Support programs are designed to empower students to reach their full potential.

We are committed to ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated Learning and Support team works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists to identify and address the individual learning needs of each student.

Our approach to Learning and Support is inclusive, focusing on early intervention and personalised strategies to support students with diverse learning needs. We provide a range of support services, including:

  • Individualised learning plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Small group instruction to target specific learning goals.
  • Collaboration with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and provide additional support.
  • Adjustments are made in close consultation with students and their parents and carers and are regularly reviewed to assess their effectiveness and to identify any need for changes.
  • Access to specialist support services, including speech pathology, occupational therapy, and psychology.

The Learning and Support team includes the Learning and Support Teacher (LaST), Principal, School Counsellor/Psychologist, School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) and the Class Teacher.
