Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C)
Our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is made up of parents and carers, teachers and community members. The P&C meets regularly to contribute to decision-making, developing policies and management plans as well as fundraising.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Our school canteen operates each Monday, Wednesday and Friday for morning tea and lunch.
Lunch orders are to be placed online through the Flexischools. Please note cut off is 9am on canteen days. Orders after this time are unable to be processed. Lunches are delivered to the classroom at the start of lunchtime. Lunch is eaten inside the classroom and supervised by the class teacher.
Students who wish to purchase counter lines from the canteen at morning tea and lunch, do so directly from the canteen. The P&C has appointed a Canteen Manager for the day to day operations of the canteen. Parent volunteers are always welcome to assist with the daily running of the canteen and are especially required on Fridays. Requests for volunteers are made on a term by term basis through an online volunteer website. These details will be communicated through the school newsletter.

Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

Uniforms can be ordered online through Flexischools. All orders will be delivered to your child’s class on Fridays. The uniform shop is still open for sales on Thursdays from 2.45pm to 3.30pm (subject to volunteer availability).
Band
The outstanding band program at Belrose Public School begins in Year 3 when all students are invited to join the junior band. Auditions are held for transition from junior to intermediate band at the end of Year 3 and from intermediate to senior band at the end of Year 4. Talented students in Year 5 and 6 also have the opportunity to join the jazz band.
The 3 senior bands will be touring in Term 4 this year. The band participates in festivals, school events and community events throughout the year. A joint parent/staff band committee supports the band program in conjunction with the school bandmaster.
The parents and citizens' association (P&C) is the body which represents the parents of our school. The P&C works closely with the principal and supports the school in many ways, both practically and financially. The P&C annual general meeting (AGM) is held in December each year. P&C accounts are audited annually.
All parents are warmly invited to attend the P&C meetings and join one of the many hard working committees.
The current P&C sub-committees include:
- band committee
- canteen committee
- uniform shop committee
- fundraising committee
- out of school hours care (OSHC).

Our P&C meets the second Tuesday of every month in the staff room at school at 7:15pm.
